David brings a broad range of technical and leadership skills to RBWEA. Recognized as a critical thinker and problem solver, he is highly skilled in leading cross functional teams to execute forward looking programs that deliver value. He accomplishes this by collaborating with company leaders to develop and implement solutions to the significant challenges they are facing in today’s fast paced, digital environment and disruptive economy.
David’s 30 years of experience includes working with stakeholders to identify synergies from different industries, markets, and technologies to craft the right solution that drives results. His people-centric leadership style has developed his reputation as a strong mentor, collaborator and communicator.
In a previous engagement, David led a team in the development of an innovative product that resulted in $25 million of revenue in the first five years. In another, he led the infrastructure and security teams to generate nearly $500,000 year-over-year combined cost savings through projects, contract negotiations and on-boarding of new solution providers. For another organization, David lead a team to develop modular designs to allow for maximum manufacturing flexibility and speed to market for configured to order products.
David has successfully demonstrated leadership in engineering, product development, product management, program management, and IT security/infrastructure. He holds certificates in Lean Six Sigma Green Belt; Design for Six Sigma Champion; Digital Transformation; Leading People, Data and Technology and ITIL 4 Foundation.
Growing up with a love of math and science, David earned both bachelor’s and master’s degrees in mechanical engineering from the University of Tulsa. He and his wife of 30 years have been active volunteers in their church, Boy Scouts of America, their community and local school district while raising two sons. He served as Cubmaster and Scoutmaster while completing the BSA Wood Badge program as well as being elected as a member of the Order of the Arrow.
